Five for Friday: I'm off for Christmas break!!!

Last Saturday, we celebrated Keagan's 2nd birthday! I can't even believe two years have passed since my little goober was born. He has grown into such a handsome, sweet little boy!

Sunday ended up being a GORGEOUS day, so we headed down to Colonial Williamsburg after church to try and get our Christmas card picture. So glad we did! I didn't love the family pictures, but we got some great ones of Keagan. And what better backdrop than beautiful colonial decor?

His favorite part was watching the horses (even though they never moved).

Monday ended up being a half day for me so I could take Keagan to his yearly check-up, so I had to postpone some of my plans (I thought the appointment was at 3 and was just planning on leaving early). Still, we made time for me to read one of my favorite Christmas books, and I was able to update my packet to go along with it!

On Wednesday, we got to reveal our secret pals. A little secret: I found out who mine was last week because I happened to see her taking my gift to the office. BUT I had no idea until then and was very excited to "officially" find out and thank her! She brought me some yummy Milano cookies (which was perfect because I had just finished the last ones), peppermint M&M's, and some cute snowmen thank you cards that I was able to use for my sweet students' gifts yesterday and today!

I know this is REALLY late, but I left out the word "Christmas" so you could technically use it before any long break. We did this with my fifth graders yesterday, and I was SO thrilled that they got this one! Last year, my group of 5th grade students really struggled, so I'm not sure if this went better because I made it easier or if the kids were just better at it. I'm sticking with the latter!

I hope everyone was/is able to rush out the door as soon as the day is over, and try to avoid working on too much school work over the break. Take some time to relax and enjoy your family. Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
